What was done to this AMG GT Black Series?
The Black Series had full-body PPF, window tint, interior protection film and a full exterior and interior detail.
With its huge aero, carbon parts and wide bodywork, the Black Series is exposed to stone chips and sand blasting on every drive. Covering the whole car means every painted and clear-coated surface is protected, while the tint and detail complete the package.
Why does a Black Series need full body protection?
The AMG GT Black Series is one of the most extreme road cars Mercedes has built, with a huge adjustable rear wing, a deep front splitter, bonnet vents and wide arches all shaped by aerodynamics. Much of that aero is exposed to the road. The splitter and front bumper sit very low, the side skirts and the leading edges of the rear arches catch grit thrown up by wide, sticky tyres, and the car is rare enough that replacement parts are expensive and slow to arrive.
Full body premium gloss PPF covers the painted panels so chips and swirl marks never reach the black paint. On black, every flaw shows, so the film was combined with a full exterior decontamination and paint detail, sealing the finish in at its best.
Was the engine bay detailed too?
Yes. The carbon engine bay was cleaned and detailed while the bonnet was open for the PPF work.

How do you look after a Black Series after PPF and tint?
- Keep the tinted windows up for the first few days.
- Wait about a week before the first wash or track day so the film can settle.
- After a drive, remove bugs, rubber and brake dust quickly so they do not bake on.
- Hand wash with a pH neutral shampoo and avoid brush car washes.
- Keep pressure washer nozzles away from film edges around the splitter, vents and wing.
