The Taycan was covered in full-body paint protection film and had premium window tint fitted to the glass.

Why does a Taycan need protection from day one?
The Taycan is low, wide and very smooth, with a sloping nose, sculpted front wings and almost no trim to break up the paint. That clean shape is what makes it look so good, and it is also why damage is so obvious. Stone chips land on the nose and the leading edges of the wings, and fine swirl marks from washing show clearly on high gloss blue paint in the Dubai sun.
Fitting film while the car is new means there is nothing to correct and nothing sealed in underneath. On this Taycan every surface was carefully prepared, then each panel was precision cut and wrapped for a seamless, factory level look with clean edges. The film gives a durable barrier against stone chips, road debris, swirl marks and environmental contaminants during daily use.
How did Apex Detail Studio fit the PPF?
We prepared every surface, then fitted the film panel by panel with edges wrapped and heat used on the tightest curves.
- Preparation. Every surface was cleaned and prepared.
- Film installation. Film was laid and squeegeed across the doors, wings, roof, bonnet and bumpers.
- Edges and details. Edges were wrapped and the film trimmed around the lights, charging flap, intakes and mirrors.
- Heat shaping. Heat helped the film settle on the deepest curves.
- Inspection. The finish was checked under studio lighting.
