The whole Range Rover was wrapped in gloss black colour change PPF, panel by panel, turning it from white to black.
A white-to-black change is one of the hardest colour changes to do well, because any missed edge shows white straight away. White to black is one of the biggest colour changes you can make on a car, and it is the one that most often goes wrong with paint or cheap wraps. Any white left in a door shut, around a badge or at a panel edge stands out instantly against black. A respray also replaces the factory finish for good, which buyers notice and which affects resale.
Colour change PPF avoids both problems. The black film sits on top of the factory white, which stays protected underneath, and the change can be reversed later. - Pattern cutting. Gloss black film was cut to each panel.
- Installation. Teams laid and squeegeed the film across the bonnet, doors, wings and tailgate.
- Edges and shuts. Edges were wrapped and door shuts finished so no white shows.
- Inspection. The finish was checked under studio lighting.
